Manson
It's finally happening. I am finally getting to see Marilyn Manson live in concert. That is something that has been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember (yes, I have one). I have always been a fan of his...but I will admit I like his older stuff better. Hopefully this show will be more old than new.
Another great thing about all this, it's taken place at the Tabernacle in Atlanta, Georgia. I'm excited to check that place out. I have never seen the inside of it, just the outside. July 15, 2013 is going to be a super amazing day!

Polkadot Cadaver - Touch You Like Caligula
One of the greatest bands alive. Todd Smith is a lyrical genius. Enjoy! <3
POLKADOT CADAVER
Touch You Like Caligula
Slacker
I'm sorry guys! I have been a complete and total slacker for the past week or so. So much has been going on in my personal life and in this small town, I haven't really had the time to post anything. And when I did...I said fuck it. :) Don't be mad!
A lot of stuff has been going on in the music world (well, my type of music). I'll start it off with talking about Chi Cheng, the bassist from Deftones. He passed away on April 13, 2013. He was only 42 years old, which is a young age. I don't really know all the details but I do know that it was related to his car injuries that happened over 4 years ago. To see what all the metal community tweeted about Chi, you can click here.
I don't know if you ever go to metalsucks.net, but it is a great site that gives a lot of info dealing with the metal scene. They do this awesome shit called "The Top 25 Modern Metal Frontmen" and it's pretty cool. Not saying that I 100% agree with it, of course, but it is worth the share. I'm super stoked that Nergal (Adam Darski-Behemoth), Mikael Ã…kerfeldt (Opeth & Bloodbath), and Mike Patton made the list. But I do have to say, and I'm probably going to start a riot with this...Maynard James Keenan (Tool, A Perfect Circle, & Puscifer) should be on this list. I know, I know! "Maynard is a dick", blah blah. I honestly don't care what he is, he has great talent behind that great voice of his. His voice and lyrics are both AH-mazing! Like I said though, that is just me and my opinion. To check out the list, click here.
I hear that new title track from Megadeth is horrible. Doesn't really shock me. I fucking hate Megadeth. "Super Collider" is the name of it. If you want to listen to it, go find it. Blah. Carry on.
Opeth's touring. Here is some dates.

Earth Rocker World Tour
Clutch, The Sword, and Lionize will be playing at Amos' Southend in Charlotte NC on May 7th. I was asked to do the photography at this show. You have no idea how that makes me feel. I've been listening to Clutch since high school. They are awesome live. Lionize is awesome also. But The Sword....The Sword is epic. I love them oh so much and I have never seen them live. I cannot wait for this. Sorry, I just had to fan girl about this. This is a great opportunity and I'm about to jump all in it.
Gwar-B-Q Line-up
I know I'm slack and this is annual, but this is the first time I have heard of this. Honestly, I can't believe I never knew about it. Anyway, Gwar announced the line-up. It's pretty good. Good enough for me to post about it.

Burzum Album 2013
Burzum is set to release a new album, ‘Sôl Austan, Mâni Vestan’, on May 27, 2013. Don't worry, I don't know how to pronounce the title either. Varg stated on their website that this album is electronic and instrumental. So to tell you the truth, I'm not too thrilled or excited about this coming out.
Track list
1. ‘Sôl Austan’ (East of the sun)
2. ‘Rûnar Munt þû Finna’ (You shall find secrets)
3. ‘Sôlarrâs’ (Sun-journey)
4. ‘Haugaeldr’ (Burial mound fire)
5. ‘Feðrahellir’ (Forebear-cave)
6. ‘Sôlarguði’ (Sun-god)
7. ‘Ganga At Sôlu’ (Deasil)
8. ‘Hîð’ (Bear’s lair)
9. ‘Heljarmyrkr’ (Death’s darkness)
10. ‘Mâni Vestan’ (West of the moon)
11. ‘Sôlbjörg’ (Sunset)
"Yet again I have left behind the metal genre and have chosen a different path but for no other reason than me following my Pagan spirit willingly to wherever it takes me. This time it kindly took me to East of the Sun and West of the Moon." - Varg Vikernes

New Meshuggah Video
Here is the video for "I Am Colossus" from Meshuggah. This track is off of their album Koloss.
Todd Smith is a God

| Todd Smith and I after a Polkadot Cadaver show in Charlotte NC. |
I have a few artists that I am completely obsessed with and Todd Smith is one of them. Everything he creates is gold. He definitely doesn't get the credit that he deserves as an artist or vocalist. He is a part of four bands and has a solo project. The bands are Dog Fashion Disco, Polkadot Cadaver, Knives Out!, and The Alter Boys. His solo work is called El-Creepo. Dog Fashion Disco is no longer together. Every couple of years, they get together in Baltimore, Maryland to do a reunion show that usually lasts for two days.
Honestly, it is hard for me to explain the sound of these bands. All of them are very unique and original, which is very hard to come by these days. So I'm going to add some videos to this post and links to their Facebook pages. If you are open-minded, please take the time to check out all five videos. I promise, it is worth it.

Metal for the Masses
First off, I'm going to start this blog post by saying that my boyfriend, Mike Sherman, is the greatest ever. Literally, he is and for various reasons. A big reason is his love for metal. He loves the metal so much, that he started a website, Metal for the Masses. He promotes the fuck out of bands. He's constantly introducing me to new metal and I love that shit. So basically, what I am telling all of you mother fuckers...go check out my man's website, Metal for the Masses, and the Facebook page. Show some love and support the metal.
The Metal Fest 2013
This isn't anywhere near me but I still feel like I need to share this. The Metal Fest has a lot of great bands and will take place in Santiago, Chile on April 13th and 14th, 2013.
Behemoth Manipulation
As you know (maybe you don't but you do now) I love photography. Recently, because of moving around, I haven't had that much work so I have been super bored. I searched Google Images today to find some awesome Behemoth pictures and logos. By the end of my experiment, I had 5 pictures merged together and a lot of editing. Here is the result and a music video so you can check these guys out.
PS I do not take credit for the actual photographs taken of Behemoth.
The Beginning is Near
I only know two things about this great piece of awesomeness. One is the name, "The Beginning is Near." The other is I know where you can purchase a copy of this. All you have to do is click here.

Mayhem Festival 2013
All I have to say is that this years lineup completely caught me off guard. Normally, I am not a fan of the Mayhem Festival...but when you put BEHEMOTH, Amon Amarth, Machine Head, and Mastodon together, you can't help but to get excited. There are some other big names like Five Finger Death Punch and Rob Zombie. To see the full line up, click here.
